​​Suitable for those who have taken Mark Making into Monoprint 1 or who have previous experience.

This monoprinting course will build on the skills learned in the Mark Making into monoprint 1 course and so is only suitable for those who have either  taken that course already or have lots of monoprinting experience already.

In this course we will work with the different monoprint techniques already learned, to build up a visual library of images. You will be responding to prompts from story and poetry, your own memories and dreams as well as film stills. 

You will also be led through a series of drawing and painting exercises that you can then use to make into prints. 
We will look at and analyse, the way artists have used monoprint over the years  in  new and innovative ways.  
You will be encouraged to layer up different techniques to achieve experimental outcomes. 

By the end of the 5 weeks,  you will have a series of printed images inspired by your own drawings, stories and memories that can then be carried on independently. 

The course will be run via Zoom and there will be an online image gallery where students can upload work that they have made each week.
